Knitting Pouf

 

This is essentially a fairly quick and simple project to crochet.  If you have crocheted a weft before then you can crochet a pouf.  Most of the stitches are ones that a starter has used.  If you need a refresher front post crochet be or for crochet in the round sure to check our web site.  In the midst of creating this floor pouf I discovered that it was spelled “pouf” and not “poof”.  And did you know that an ottoman or floor pouf is called a hassock out East?  What do you think about it? What would you call this floor pouf?

Definition: This pouf is knitted by using short row construction and garter stitch. The short row between the row is 2 sts.

Information: Must know how to Basic Short Row knit, Knit Garter Stitch, Long Tail Cast on in garter stitch, Basic Knit Bind Off and Horizontal seam.

Nearly: 20″ diameter x 14″ height . Knitting pouf depends how you stuff and stretch the pouf

Materials & Tools

1. Knitting needle: 8mm
2. 5mm diameter, Bobbiny Cotton Braided Ropes or cords,
3. Color: Quantity, Cherry: 8 skeins (50 meter each)
4. Crochet hook, 4mm
5. Sewing thread and needles (for joining ropes)
6. Scissor
7. 2 to 3 queen size duvets or a bean stool or anything you think can be stuffed {e.g. old towels, old blanket, old clothes etc.)
